London Nightlife




London is famous for its exclusive nightclubs that attract many visitors every year. The nightlife is spread around the town, but there are two main areas where the majority of the top places are situated: Wets End and Chelsea. For who is interested in culture, London is plenty of good options like the Royal Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and many other theatres presenting high quality shows. In London there are also many cinemas, with premieres happening most weeks. If you want to know traditional London taverns, you should go to the 17th-century George Inn located at Borough High Street or to the Crown situated at New Oxford Street.



The most popular bars are located in Soho, the London’s busiest party district. The London Pub at Russell Square is a great place to meet people going out or coming back from tours. For a great London pub experience, you should visit the Cross Keys at Covent Garden and the Golden Heart in Spitalfields. If you want to know celebrities, try the Cuckoo Club, Boujis or the Mahaki.

One of the most popular places for beer lovers is the Freedom Brewing Company at Earlham Street; it brews its own beer. Vertigo at Old Broad Street is one of the UK’s highest bars; it has spectacular views across the city from the floor-to-ceiling windows. But if you want to relax and enjoy the view of the River Thames, try The Bell & Crown at Thames Road there are outside tables and good food.



Gay Scene

The gay scene in London has developed in the last years, so the homophobic positions are part of the past. London has a large community gay; there are gay restaurants, gay bars, gay clothing shops, etc. Some of the most popular gay bars are in Soho; it is well-known as the heart of London’s gay nightlife for its carnival atmosphere and its lively places. In London centre the most popular bars are the Admiral Duncan, the Bar Aquda, Barcode, the Box, the Edge and the Kudos.



Music

London is also popular for being a capital of classical and popular music; there are many orchestras and concert halls like the Barbican Art Centre, the Royal Albert Hall and the Wigmore Hall. For opera lovers, London has two main opera houses: The Royal Opera House and the Coliseum Theatre. London is home for more than 120 venues where is possible enjoy live music, the most popular places are the Brixton Academy, the Jazz Clafe, the Wembley Arena, and lately the O2 Arena. The city is also famous for its large summer music festivals where renowned musicians and DJs delight the audience with their extraordinary performances; the most popular festivals are the O2 Wireless festival, the Latitude Festival and the Bestival.
